So why Essence?
The word Essence can mean a number of things, it could be a concentrated extract such as that obtained by the distilation of a fine perfume or tincture, but in this instance the essence of beauty, elegance and the soul are concentrated to try and produce an atmospheric, emotive or graphic image which may be realistic or manipulated to stimulate and excite the senses.

The types of medium that I work with can range from monochrome negative through to colour slide, although I am interested in all aspects of photography, from the Old Victorian Processes right through to modern day Digital Imaging techniques and strongly believe that it is the final image which is important and not the journey taken.
